Prayer Sunday Challenge

Prayer Sunday Challenge
The Wesleyan Youth Movement, more than anything, needs men and women who are mighty in prayer! The Spirit of God falls on people who pray. Our methods, plans, thoughts, and actions all need His powerful blessing each day. Youth Conventions are no different. Would you join us and pray for Love Mercy? Will you accept the challenge to lead your church and youth ministries in prayer for this event?

Take the Challenge

Begin by making Love Mercy a part of your personal prayers. Then mark your calendars for the LM9 Prayer Sundays and download the step-by-step instructions for five Prayer Sundays. You can also introduce a monthly prayer emphasis in your corporate prayer with your the students. We've tried to make this as easy as possible so grab the prayer resources online!

Mark your calendars and join us in prayer!

Prayer invites God to accomplish what He desires in our lives – a calling toward deeper holiness and a covenant to act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with our God!

Boldly Pray.

We are calling all to urgently pray until the convention, and just as importantly, to pray while we are there…praying that God will impact our students act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with their God.
May we so intimately join Him that His desires become our desires and His will our will…for Jesus promises us…“I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it… “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples." -John 14:13-14, 15:7-8

Before the Convention:

1. Pray before your weekly youth gathering that God will move through the lives of your students and all those that attend Love Mercy, to be anointed and blessed.

2. Commit to lead your congregation in Prayer Sundays throughout 2009. Take 3-4 min. during a service to pray and promote prayer for Love Mercy—aided by this Prayer Sunday Outline.

3. Continue to Pray with your youth group. (Monthly Prayer List)

4. Download a letter from Dr. Jim Dunn for your pastor to read. Present the letter along with the number of students you feel the Lord is asking you to bring.

At the Convention

Plan an intentional group prayer time at Love Mercy. A prayer room will be available at each location for individual and corporate prayer gatherings.
