The 2009 Area Wesleyan Youth Conventions - “Love Mercy” taught the simple truth that God’s Word challenges us to face the needs of our world by asking us do three things: Act Justly, Love Mercy and Walk Humbly with God.
Hundreds of students received Christ as Savior for the first time while many more re-dedicated their lives to Him. Hundreds answered the call into full-time Christian ministry. Over 5,000 students opened themselves to take a bold step for Jesus and live their faith out compassionately seeing the dignity of every child of God, becoming compelled to respond and make a difference, even at a cost to self.
The world is waiting to see what God’s people can do. Love Mercy aims to live it by inspiring individuals to proclaim the Good News of God’s compassion in Christ, to love our neighbor as ourselves, to work for justice, and to respect the value of every human person. To live out our Faith on a daily basis is to: Act Justly, Love Mercy, and Walk Humbly with our God.

Students respond to challenge of loving the people in their convention cities.

As the final day of Love Mercy “the event” begins, it’s clear that Love Mercy is A MOVEMENT!
Today we learned together, worshiped together, cried together, celebrated together and began to tangible share the love of Christ with everyone around us. The exciting part about today is the opportunity it brings for us to continue living for God in our schools and communities tomorrow. One more day together, then the movement goes out from these 4 cities!
All credit and glory belongs to God for what He is accomplishing in the lives those impacted by LM9.
